Weetbix has been on quite the journey in his short 6 months of life. 4 months ago a woman contacted us about finding him in the gutter in pouring rain. He was a tiny 7 week old baby with flu and badly malnourished. Weeks went by and Weetbix had been on over 5 different medications to help with his flu like symptoms, however it continued to get worse, heavy snoring, bad breath, sneezing and failure to thrive. After weeks of investigations, tests and medication trials we discovered Weetbix had a rare and large polyp inside his throat. Within a week of this polyp being removed, Weetbix had significantly improved, gaining weight, fluffing out, no more sneezing, bad breath or snoring. He has had a second chance at life, becoming extremely playful, cheeky and happy. Weetbix has settled into our family home so well, that rehoming him is incredibly difficult, but we know that somewhere someone will be able to give him all the love and affection he deserves. He is a beautiful little boy with so much love to give, always eager for cuddles on your chest while you're sitting on the couch or settling in for the night in bed. He loves to be where you are, always! Weetbix is surrounded by a busy family, kids aged 10, 7 and 4 able to cuddle him, pick him up and play with him. He loves noisy balls he can chase around the house and recycling bags and boxes he can hide in and jump out of. He has grown up with boisterous dogs and cats of all other ages, which makes him well suited to almost any home!
What he needs is to be indoor ONLY due to his medical conditions, and have a home where he isn't ever left alone, requiring dog and cat friends while his humans are out, and humans that aren't away for prolonged periods of time. Weetbix is the most stunning boy, super sweet, super fun, a real personality. His most favourite things to do are take showers with his humans, wrestle with his cat friend Toast and curl up on your chest to sleep any chance he gets.
This guy is special, and will only join the most special family that will continue to love him the way we do.
